UPD’s CRS

17 10 2007

UP Diliman completely revised its Computerized Registration System (CRS) and renamed it to University Information System. Last summer, they started the operations of the new CRS and there were a lot of complaints. This sem, everything from enlistment to registration is going to be done via CRS. I have also enlisted last Thursday with the CRS and everything is fast. Maybe it could be because I’m enlisting for a graduate course or I’m accessing CRS within DilNET’s wifi. Nevertheless, CRS2 has improved a lot. But somewhat, I still love the old CRS feature of listing the subjects. For faculty and advisers and even for normal students who are about to preenlist, it’s best if they could see an updated status of the enrollment. I’m glad UPM’s CRS still provides listing of subjects and statistics. I just hope that the UPM CRS will allow listing of subjects by subject type or at the very least by department (like the old UPD CRS) instead of the now listing by college. If I am at home at want to view the subjects, I have to wait for many subjects to load which takes some time but majority of the subjects, I don’t even need or care to see their stats.
